Our motivation
I started Out of Office Lifestyle after life threw me some challenging curveballs. Because of a few people's belief and trust in me with their homes, I was able to create a business.
After some very introspective years following the global pandemic - Covid 19, I began thinking about how intricately linked we all are. I wanted to start a social impact arm of the business that gives back.
I truly believe that if everyone does their small bit, we can change the lives of others for the better.
That's why the butterfly effect will focus on small initiatives linked to real people and their empowerment.
In order to see the impact of what is received, we want to give through empowering others to make their lives better, and in committing to that, we hope that every Butterfly Effect recipient will keep paying it forward in his/ her own way.

Our first international initiative
Meet Darlington, an entrepreneurial artist whose office is located on the street corner of Johannesburg South Africa.
We want to share a piece of his creativity with you. Every Out of Office Lifestyle booking will receive a handmade keyring. Crafted in the magical continent of Africa by a wonderful and hard working man. so that you are reminded that together through small acts we can create a butterfly effect which can change peoples lives globally. Each guest's stay in one of our apartments helps us touch others around the world.

Its our mission to be aware of our impact, no matter how small it seems. This includes our service as well as the preferred products we use in our homes. We use Tony's Chocolonely to welcome our guests.
